Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton is engaged to girlfriend Alizee Thevenet.
The 32-year-old younger sibling of Kate and Pippa confirmed on Sunday he asked Alizee to marry him. She said yes and is now sporting some new bling.
“She said OUI Our secret is out, but we couldn’t be happier to share the news #jaliz,” James wrote in an Instagram photo of the newly engaged couple, at Lake District in northwest England.

The picture features Alizee showing off her engagement ring. It is a gorgeous sapphire ring surrounded by tiny diamonds. James went all out on the ring when popping the question to Alizee, but royal watchers can’t help noticing the similarities to Kate’s engagement ring.
James and Alizee, who is a French financial analyst, met at a bar last year. The British press is reporting they have been happily together ever since, sharing several PDA filled outings caught on camera.
Alizee joined James and the rest of the Middleton clan, including parents Carole and Michael, on a family vacation in St. Barts earlier this year. She also made an appearance with the Middleton clan at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in July.
They even joined the royal family at the wedding of Prince Harry and Prince William’s cousin, Lady Gabriella Windsor, to Thomas Kingston last Spring.
Both families are thrilled with the union. Alizee’s father even told the Daily Mail last year his daughter is very happy with James, and so is the family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have yet to comment on the engagement. Pippa Middleton has also not spoken out on the happy news.

Prince William’s brother-in-law has only started to embrace life in the spotlight. The Middleton family was thrust into a life in the public eye when Kate married into the royal family. Only recently has James began to share more of his life. He even got candid about dealing with his own mental health issues.
It looks like Prince George and Princess Charlette might soon be in another wedding. They had pivotal roles in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. One can assume James will want his nieces and nephews, including Prince Louis involved in his too.
